Fontana Candida Pinot Grigio delle Venezie IGT 2013

Fontana Candida Pinot Grigio is made exclusively from pinot grigio grapes grown in the rolling hills of Northeast Italy. Its dry, crisp, and fruity taste makes it an excellent companion to poultry, seafood, and light entrees. This well-balanced wine exhibits lime-fruit flavors. Serve slightly chilled (55 degrees F).

100% Pinot Grigio. Fontana Candida was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Monteporzio Catone, Rome; their bottling cellar is also located here. Their 62-acre vineyards and vinification cellar are situated in the heart of Frascati. In the late 1950s, Giovanna Orta di Torre Uzzone, a noblewoman of Piedmontese origin, designed and patented a special, clear glass bottle with its wide, squat shape that has since become Fontana Candida's emblem. Thanks to this well-conceived packaging, and especially to the constant quality of its products, the winery obtained a decisive boost in the domestic and foreign markets. Currently owned by Gruppo Italiano Vini, Fontana Candida continues to be the most important Frascati-producing business.
