A sinful romance between the rich, decadent flavors of 23 year old Glenfiddich and the seductive elegance found in the worlds best vintage sparkling wines, finished for six months in fine French cuvee oak casks.
This 26 year old whisky is matured in American and European oak casks at The Glenfiddich Distillery, before the crowning glory: an extended finish in rare and meticulously selected French Cognac casks.
COLOR: Champagne color of pale gold with a pink tint. Wine plays a beautiful little bubbles, creating a gentle foam.
TASTE: Champagne has a strong, fresh taste with good structure and a lovely long finish with hints of apple and berries.
The 2016 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru was reduced by one-third due to the frost, unorthodox in that it affected the higher part of Etienne's vines. It has a slightly more rustic, almost obdurate nose than the previous two vintages, with touches of dried blood and something almost ferrous sutured into the red berry fruit.
Ripe red fruit aromas such as berries with some notes of sweet spices and fresh black and white pepper. Medium structure with very nice texture. Juicy tannins and red fruit at the finish. Serve with grilled meats.
