Roland Lavantureux Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir 2016
The nose of this grand cru is very ample, depending on the richness of the tasting. On the palate, there is a good balance between the fruity aromas that lean toward the exotic. The very long finish reveals toasted and vanilla notes. This wine will perfectly accompany your festive dishes, such as foie gras, scallops, lobster and scampi, or a herbed rooster (castrated) cuisine.
Chardonnay. Domaine Roland Lavantureaux, founded in 1979, is located in Lignerolles (central region of France) and about 50 acres in size. In addition to making stunning Chablis, the Lavantureux family also bottles mouthwatering Petit Chablis, which can easily rival their high-pedigree bottling methods. The region is best known for its Kimmeridgian soil, a highly-prized terroir of limestone and clay infused with tiny, fossilized oysters. The intense chalk and seashell minerality lends deep complexity to whites, making this region an ideal home for Chardonnay grapes.
