This traditional white Bordeaux is made by a cooperative of talented winemakers in the picturesque region of Entre-duex-Mers. In the heart of this region you can admire the medieval castle of Rauzan in its vineyard surroundings, which is where this co-op takes its name from.
The bouquet is intense with vibrant herbal, spicy, and fruit-forward notes. Very well structured, full bodied, quite soft, and balanced with pronounced tannins. A wine with a great personality and long aftertaste.
In the hills near Frascati are areas of volcanic soil over 2,000 years old. Here the grapes for Frascati are grown. This wine has a delicate bouquet of wildflowers and fruit, a characteristic taste (fresh and distinctive), with just a hint of almonds to enjoy Fontana Candida Frascati to its fullest.
Its color is a bright ruby red. On the nose, it is clean and precise, with hints of morello cherries, wild berries and a moderate spiciness. On the palate it reveals a full-bodied, assertive flavor, which expresses both great intensity and elegance.
Riesling grapes were harvested in September and October at the peak of flavor ripeness. Fermentation temperatures were maintained at 55-60 degrees F to preserve Riesling’s fresh and fruity character.
