In 1992 Thomas Haag, the son of the celebrated Brauneberg winemaker Wilhelm Haag, took over the Schloss. It was already very good, but Thomas has made it a Champions League domain by working hard.
Grapes taken from the best parcels, carefully selected; manual harvest in 15 kg boxes, with cooling of grapes and extraction of the must with a very soft whole grape pressing; fermentation in stainless steel vats and French oak barrels, followed by a rest period of 8 months.
