Deep Blue is our first Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, as opposed to our single vineyard offerings. We sourced fruit from our two primary Pinot Noir producers: Momtazi & Johan Vineyards, both Demeter-certified Biodynamic sites that produce drastically distinct wines.
Johan Vineyard is an 85-acre, Demeter-certified biodynamic site in the Willamette Valley, south of McMinnville and west of Salem. This site is almost always our last Pinot pick of harvest. Although it's a relatively low-elevation site, due to its proximity to the coast and the winds that howl through the Van Duzer Corridor every summer afternoon, the fruit here tends to ripen later than in our other vineyards.

The wine has a dark-pomegranate color has a harmonious velvety taste with a chocolate flavor. It is made from Saperavi grapes cultivated in Kvareli district, Kakheti region. It matures in oak barrels for three years. The wine has a dark pomegranate color, marked characteristic aroma & a harmonious fresh taste. An excellent partner to game, roasts & grilled meats.
Tasting Note: With an ample and deep bouquet, it offers hints of berries and spices combined with mineral and balsamic notes. On the palate it reflects the extraordinary complexity and elegance characterized by marked minerality and important tannins and a finish of remarkable persistence.
