Lindstrom Wines Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
The Lindstrom Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on one of the warmer sites in Stags Leap District, shows off the cooler season to its full advantage, while still retaining the ripe cherry and cocoa powder characteristics so indicative of this growing area.
Combining the dark tea and cocoa flavors with juicy ripe berry notes on the palate, this wine presents as a serious, fully ripe and complex offering even as it displays a sense of elegance and grace at the finish.
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was produced entirely from fruit grown on the Lindstrom estate in Stags Leap District, Napa Valley. The eleven blocks of vineyard were assessed independently for ripeness, and were harvested by hand between October 14 and October 18. The fruit was gently destemmed, then fermented in small tanks. After 14 to 22 days the fruit was pressed, then transferred to small barrels (60% new French oak) for about 20 months of barrel age.
