"Virgen" defines our USDA-certified, no-sulfites-added, vegan, organic wines, the purest expression of our pristine, high-desert Tupungato Valley terroir in Argentina's Mendoza region. Here, sandy/gravel soils, year-round sunshine and 60°F/15°C day-to-night temperature shifts combine for exceptional conditions in which to grow healthy, high-quality organic grapes. The result: super-flavorful, fresh-tasting, naturally elegant wines.
Climat is an exceptional grape selection unique to each vintage, to discover to secrets of our terroirs and keep a memory of its unique characteristics. Grand Cru “rich and structured” with a dark and glistening robe. Concentrated nose with fragrances of dark fruits, spices, undergrowth and distinguished oak notes. Mouth filling, with persistent tannins melted into the fruits. Harmonious finale, aromatic and intense.
The harvest for the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Schiavenza is carried out manually between the second half of September and the first of October. The winemaking and aging process includes fermentation and maceration in 30/50 quintal concrete tanks for 15-20 days, maintaining a variable temperature between 30° and 33°C. A medium-bodied wine, with a cherry flavor and hints of caramel and smoke. The wine has a refreshing acidity, and is very pleasant and enjoyable to drink. The grapes arrived to the winery in the early morning after being mechanically harvested.
