Biokult Zweigelt meets Pinot Noir is filled with juicy, ripe dark red fruit w/ a hint of cinnamon. The palate is fresh yet plush with fleshy, luscious cherry fruit. Earthy crushed raspberry and earthy aromas follow through on a soft, satiny entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-body with a delicate touch of spice.

The Pinot noir was harvested coldand allowed to push a cap before getting one homogenizing pumpover as primary fermentation began. Ina year that was hot and drythere was a threat of heaviness, sothe wine saw minimal cap management, gentle press downs or pumpovers as the fermentation temperature peaked,and was pressed when dry.
The Legan vineyard is a rugged own-rooted planting of Pinot Noir situated at 1,600’ above the tiny community of Coralitos. The hearty vines at Legan are surrounded by the dense Redwood forest of the Southern Santa Cruz Mountains and have been dry farmed since 1980 in deep sandy loam soil.
Typical, fragrant varietal bouquet. harmonious and balanced, with a plump fruitiness and silky texture offset by round, gentle tannins in a wine of medium body and elegant structure.
