In the hills near Frascati are areas of volcanic soil over 2,000 years old. Here the grapes for Frascati are grown. This wine has a delicate bouquet of wildflowers and fruit, a characteristic taste (fresh and distinctive), with just a hint of almonds to enjoy Fontana Candida Frascati to its fullest.
The grapes are harvested in the coolest hours of the day and the wine is left to ferment in conical wooden vats at a controlled temperature. At the end of the process, it is refined for 15 months, first in new 600-litre demi-muids and then in barriques.
Grapes used to create this Chianti DOCG are sourced from Tuscany, in the center of Italy and fully express the winemaking tradition of this land. This is a young and well-balanced wine, floral and fruity, with good persistence in the mouth.
