Fascinating nose of black raspberry, black tea, smoked meat, and high-toned suggestions of distilled berries and herbs. In the mouth, the fruit takes on a slightly caramelized edge and hints of resin from the barrels.

Hailing from halfway between the northern and southern Rhône, this Côtes du Vivarais features equal parts of both regions’ starring grapes—Syrah and Grenache—and offers the closest thing to what you might get if you blended Crozes-Hermitage with Gigondas.
Part of Domaines Martin, which also owns Château Gloria in Saint-Julien, this wine benefits from a classed-growth winery's attention to detail. The wine is rich, dense and structured. Its black-plum and blackberry fruits are rich, sustained by fine tannins and acidity.
