De Ladoucette Pouilly-Fume 2020

Pale golden-green in color. The nose develops a natural range of subtle floral and earthy green plant aromas such as acacia, ferns, peppermint, and white nettles. Notes of stony minerals and lemon give the wine a beautiful structure balanced by a fruity roundness, with a finish marked by hints of citrus fruits.

100% Sauvignon Blanc. Produced by Chateau du Nozet, purchased by the Comte Lafond, an ancestor of the current owner, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette. The chateau and its surrounding vineyards have a reputation for producing the finest Pouilly-Fume. The vineyards are in Pouilly-Fume Controlee, which includes Pouilly-Sur-Loire, Saint-Andelin and Tracy at the eastern end of the Loire Valley (including the vineyard of the Chateau du Nozet estate). Both clay and limestone (Kimmeridgian marnes on fossilized limestone) influence the delicate characteristics in Ladoucette Pouilly-Fume.
