“Dair Ghaelach” means quite simply, Irish Oak.While the name may be simple, the story of this whiskey is unique. This whiskey has been finished in casks made from virgin Irish oak grown in Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate, near Stradbally in Co. Laois.

The pot still whiskey filled into those casks is packed with Midleton’s characteristic orchard fruit and spice, enhanced by a set of secondary flavours unique to one tree, from one forest, on a single estate in Ireland.
