Red Spot 15 Year Whiskey
Red Spot is one of the flagship expressions from the Spot Whiskey label, which dates its history back to 1805. Historically, spots were painted on the barrels that matured their whiskey below the streets of Dublin to indicate age.
Red Spot is aged for a minimum of 12 years in bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Sicilian Marsala wine casks. It is classified as single pot still Irish whiskey, which means it is pot-distilled at a single site from a mixture of malted and unmated barley. Brand tasting notes describe it as having baked apple and hazelnut on the nose and sweet fruit and black pepper on the palate.
