Barkan Reserve Merlot is produced using handpicked grapes grown in northern Galilee vineyards. The timing of the harvest is critical in order to achieve the precise balance of taste, color, and sugar.
Barkan Reserve Chardonnay is from the Barkan Winery, the second largest in Israel. It was founded in 1990, and its head winemaker is Ed Salzberg. The winery moved to Kibbutz Hulda near Rehovot in 2000.
A uniquely sweet and gently tart taste of ume fruit with notes of almond from the pit. Serve straight and slightly chilled or on-the-rocks. Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit.
