The ancient Georgian word "Gemieri" is translated as "tasty". A hand-picked variation of carefully selected and ripe grapes from the microzones Sviri in Imereti and Tsinandali in Kakheti. After separating from the stems, the berries are cooled to 4-6 ° C and pressed with controlled pressure. The fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank at the optimum temperature. Sanford Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir is exclusively sourced from this historic vineyard in the esteemed Santa Rita Hills AVA. Thirty-five year old vines planted on their own roots give great intensity and complexity. The wine is deep red in color and is loaded with vibrant raspberry, cherry and plum fruit with a hint of rose petal and white pepper on the nose. The palate delivers bright cherry flavors framed nicely by bright acidity and supple tannins.
Sourced from the last vineyard in the Deep End of the valley, our blocks of selection massal clone pinot are planted meter by meter and farmed organically. The cold Deep End climate and low vigor soils produce small amounts of concentrated aromatic wine with dark red fruit and balanced with vibrant acidity.
