Peat smoke has long drifted through our history. In years gone by, peat featured heavily in distilling traditions and our records show Glenturret using peat dug from Octhertye Estate in the early 1800s. We are in the rare position of producing peated and non-peated spirit at different times of the year from the same small stills. This has allowed us to craft this mellow, sweet, smoky 10 years old single malt that shows its character off to the full at a strength of 50%.
We believe that our 25 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is as fine as any bourbon ever released throughout Michter’s storied history. This exceptionally flavorful bourbon was distilled from a select mashbill, then matured to perfection for over a quarter of a century in specially chosen, new charred American white oak barrels. We continue to strive to make the best bourbon possible regardless of production cost. We hope you enjoy our Michter’s 25 Year Limited Release Bourbon as a fine emblem of our commitment to excellence.

Tomoe Gozen, the most feared female samurai in Japanese history, was just as as ruthless as she was beautiful. Legend says that she led as many as 1,000 soldiers on the battlefield, being a top military leader in the 13th century. Her weapon of choice was a long curved blade called a naginata, and a short dagger called a kaiken. Tomoe translates to “comma”, and is a comma-like swirl shape on Japanese family crests, a pattern that she wore on her samurai shoulder pads. Gozen is an ancient title given to women of honor.
This brilliant single malt whisky was distilled at the Highland’s Dalmore Distillery and matured in American White Oak casks before being transferred to Oloroso Sherry casks for a finishing period.
In 2018, the Isle of Jura whisky range got a rather snazzy relaunch, which included this tasty 12 year old single malt. Distilled on the eponymous Inner Hebridean island, this expression was initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before being moved over to Oloroso sherry casks for a finishing period. A great example of Jura's delicious malts, more than suitable as an after dinner dram.
