We work with mountain vineyards, dry-farmed bush vines, sustanably cultivated. Mall unique elaborations refined in old caves.San Frontonio, a beheaded martyr whose head was found upriver, symbolizes our spirit of going against the tide. Made from 100% Grenache. A delicious Rioja featuring grapes picked from three sub-areas of the region, this wine is intense on the nose and smooth on the palate. Notes of juicy red berries, cocoa, cedar, and herbs lead to a pleasantly long finish. We love it paired with bean dishes, soups and stews, or grilled meat; it's a go-to red for us as cooler weather approaches.
Alión comes from carefully selected terroirs located in the very best areas of the Ribera del Duero DO region. The soils complement each other, and allied with the same winemaking process used in Vega Sicilia, they have produced wines with a firm structure. 2018 was a fresh, Atlantic-influenced vintage, giving this Alión a more vertical, longer, and elegant expression.
A blend of Garnacha Tintorera, Palomino, Trousseau, Garnacha, and Mencia, from vineyards that range from 800-1000 meters in altitude. Grapes are de-stemmed and fermentation and aging is in a combination of tanks, amphorae, and cement eggs. A lovely, light bodied red, with subtle tannic structure, and bright red floral aromatics.
A bright core of red berry fruit flavors is enveloped by mature tannins, while spice nuances dance throughout the palate. This is an amazing value from Rueda.
