Eguren Ugarte Crianza Rioja 2021 is a distinguished red wine from the renowned Rioja Alavesa region, crafted with the utmost attention to tradition and quality. 2017 was a very challenging year, as most of their vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja were affected by frost, unlike others in nearby Laguardia. Not only was it frost, but they also had hail later on in the season.
Valenciso Reserva 2015 is made from 100% Tempranillo aged 17 months in fine grained French oak. Highly polished, tightly wound and elegant wine with refined aromatics. Fine tannins provide a silky texture, leading to a persistent finish of red berries and sweet oak.
The wine is coming from a plot called “La Navilla”, situated in the same estate where the winery is located, and facing a very optimum south west position. The harvest was done by hand, following a vinification process with knowledge to keep all the excepcional qualities of the grapes of this excellent vintage.
