Annum Cabernet Sauvignon is our proprietary winemaker’s blend allowing us to choose the best lots from top vineyard sources. The result is a powerful wine with rich texture, silky noble tannins and deep varietal concentration, nicely framed by savory French oak barrels.

A fragrant, complex bouquet of ripe blackberry and boysenberry complemented by notes of dark chocolate and toasty oak. Rich and smooth on the palate, the sumptuous dark fruit is balanced by fresh acidity and lush tannins with a lingering, elegant finish and a hint minerality.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon stands to outshine the award-winning 2019 vintage with even deeper concentration and complexity. On the nose, the wine leaps from the glass with ripe blackberry, cassis, black cherry, and red plum, with a lovely herbaceous undertone. The palate expresses juicy red and black fruits with hints of black tea, damp earth, vanilla bean, lavender, and just a touch of flint. With fine-grained tannins and mouthwatering acidity that lingers through the long finish, this wine is ready to drink upon release but will cellar well for years to come.

Tom Hinde focuses this wine on the Morisoli Vineyard, a prime benchland site in Rutherford. The 2018 starts out clean and rich, with sweet black raspberry flavors and bold strokes of oak. Return a day or two later, and the wine has emerged from that primary fruit and oak, moving toward scents of roses and Middle Eastern spice. The fruit turns toward black sour cherries while the tannins cushion the tapestry of flavors of scents. Its the kind of tannic beauty that is original to Rutherford.

Penfolds Quantum Bin 98 is the continuation of a twenty-year endeavor from when Australian vine cuttings were planted in Californian soil. A Wine of the World that encapsulates a bold blending alliance, Quantum reveals a wine that shows wisdom, crafted with conviction but also embedded in the “quality-first” philosophy that underpins Penfolds flagships.

Plum core, crimson rim with a glossy sheen. There is an otherworldly aromatic element that is hard to define, a natural result of two hemispheres united by one winemaking philosophy. The Arabian spice souk leads the charge: dark, savory spice blends – harissa, baharat, cloves, nutmeg, pimento, cinnamon, fennel, anise. Deli meats provide further appeal: pastrami, jamón ibérico, finocchiona. Generous fruits, fresh punnets of blackberry, cassis liqueur, dehydrated blood orange.

The Frank Family's vineyard is in the eastern hills of Rutherford. This wine is supple and generous. It's saturated with ripe black fruit, fattening the texture and smoothing over the tannins.

Our 2019 The Leap Cabernet Sauvignon represents the distinctive personality of our estate vineyard and this fantastic vintage, showing a plethora of lovely dark berry fruits with layered richness and intensity. This wine is a classic example of Stags Leap District Cabernet, offering aromas and flavors of juicy blackcurrants, cassis, dark blackberry, and black cherry, alongside lifted, perfumed notes of wild violet and savory chaparral herbs.

The 2020 Cathiard Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa is a remarkable wine that truly embodies the essence of Napa Valley. With its deep red color and enticing aromas, it immediately captivates the senses.

The 2015 Alluvial Selection is powerful and voluptuous, with notes of cassis, blackberry, dark chocolate and tobacco. Full-bodied, the palate delivers fine-grained, silky tannins with a vibrant finish. This expressive wine will age beautifully for 20+ years.

While it's full-bodied, with some grainy tannins, it's not unapproachable, with a long, dusty-textured finish.

The 2019 Gandona is simply magnificent. A wine of soaring intensity and structure the 2019 marries power richness and depth. Inky dark fruit chocolate black cherry leather and torrefaction all race across the palate. There is plenty of the opulence readers have come to expect here but with an extra kick of vibrancy that adds a feeling of energy the earlier vintages did not have. The team at Ink Grade favors east and north-facing blocks for their own label, including the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in a variety of different-sized oak vessels, the nose features scents of vanilla, cedar and cassis, with a gentle minty overtone. Full-bodied and firm but not lacking flesh or richness, this wine is dense and concentrated but lively and taut, with a long, dusty finish framed by fine-grained tannins.
