This crisp Sauvignon Blanc exhibits aromas of white peach, stone fruits & iris. While on the palate the wine has flavors of both melon, stone fruit & hints of green apple. Enjoy this lovely wine with Goat Cheese, Green vegetables or poultry.
This wine was inspired by the floral Sauvignon Blancs made in France’s Loire Valley. Sourced from organically grown grapes in the Napa Valley and harvested earlier in the season, this wine is refreshing and stays true to the storied soil it comes from.
Plump and friendly, with tangerine, peach and nectarine notes forming the core.
Our top expression of Sauvignon Blanc, Windward delivers wonderful aromatic intensity, a generous, layered taste profile and classic Marlborough style. Aromas of white peach, kiwi and lemongrass carry through to the silky palate, blending seamlessly with hints of passion fruit, citrus and crushed fresh green herbs. An attractive mineral backbone and suggestions of sea spray add appealing texture, finishing long and bright. This memorable, food-friendly Sauvignon Blanc can be paired with creamy cheeses, green salads, fresh seafood or grilled chicken.
The 2022 Blank Stare pours a bright pale gold with an enticing shimmer of jade. Opening aromatics pilfer from the glass as it pours — notes of key lime, Granny Smith apple and hints of grapefruit, white pepper, frangipani and minerality. On the palate, the entry is crisp and fresh with bright lemon-lime, a touch of grapefruit and guava. The mid-palate and finish complement each other with a delicate and elegant fade of tropical mangosteen and lychee framed by youthful acidity.
Vibrant fruit with a streak of tangerine running through the white asparagus, verbena and Meyer lemon notes. The long, pure finish lets a straw edge chime in.
The 2018 Sancerre Blanc Les Romains offers lovely textural depth and fine balance. Lemon confit, marzipan, spice and floral notes add that extra bit of pliancy and resonance that gives the wine its soft curves and open-knit personality. Best of all, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate.
This is a lovely estate, one of the last remaining properties in the Mérignac gravel area, lying next door to Haut Brion and Pape-Clément. The name Caillou refers to pebbles, reflecting the fact that this was once riverbed, when the river Garonne overflowed millions of years ago. The characteristic elegance and finesse of this wine is attributed to its free-draining, gravelly soil and subsoil. Sadly the quantities of white produced are tiny as the wine is lovely.
Rich aromas of baked apple, yellow plum, citrus rind and hints of fresh herbs. Flavors of crisp golden apple mingle with lemon flowers and smoke.
This north-facing limestone site is cool and late ripening. In a warm year like 2019 its quality soars. There is such a fine acidity and outstanding length. I was really blown away by this, and can’t wait to see how the fruit and acidity entwine further with some bottle age. Nervous and tense, this warrants attention.
