Intense garnet with orange nuances. On the nose the wine is elegant with notes of violet, small red fruits and leather. On the palate it is structured and harmonious, with persistent and soft tannins. A wine that is suited for lengthy aging in the cellar.
Aromas of new leather, iris, wet earth and perfumed berry meld together with crushed herbs and spices. The full-bodied, elegant palate delivers juicy Marasca cherry, black raspberry, white pepper and a hint of tobacco, while firm acidity and taut, fine-grained tannins lend ageworthy support and finesse.

The harvest for the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Schiavenza is carried out manually between the second half of September and the first of October. The winemaking and aging process includes fermentation and maceration in 30/50 quintal concrete tanks for 15-20 days, maintaining a variable temperature between 30° and 33°C. This offers aromas suggesting red berry, coconut, underbrush and menthol. On the focused, rather austere palate, tightly wound, close-grained tannins accompany cranberry, pomegranate and roasted coffee bean before a lean, assertive finish. Give the tannins a few more years to unfurl, then drink to capture the remaining fruit.
