The color is a deep scarlet-red with lush aromas of blackberry bramble, nutmeg, and hint of caramel. The wine is fresh andexuberant in the mouth with sumptuous strawberry jam, ripe black cherry, cranberry and warm gingerbread. It is perfectlybalanced with refreshing acidity, velvety tannins and a hint of toffee carrying through its long finish. The Sangiacomo Family Roberts Road Vineyard is in the cool, fog-shrouded environs of the Petaluma Gap. They harvest fruit from this block by hand, then sort the berries. They remove about 50% of the stems, ferment in open top fermenters using native wild yeast. They punch down the cap manually several times daily. The wine is subsequently aged for one year in 60-gallon French oak barrels. Learn More

Very dark garnet color, with a big, bright cherry nose, sporting hints of cola, spice, cocoa, and toast. The palate is rich, juicy, and round, with more chocolate and rich, ripe raspberry flavors. The structure is positively liquid velvet, and the finish lingers on and on. Great site plus great year equals great wine. Enough said. Learn More

These wines showcase a line of estate grown, mountain vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that offer incredible value and allow them to make an even stricter selection for their Rhys vineyard designated wines. The wine bottled under Alesia is selected to be delicious and earlier drinking but still offer the complex character and balance that their customers have come to expect. Learn More

The 2009 vintage produced one of our darkest and most extracted expressions of Chenoweth Ranch Pinot Noir to date. While signature notes of strawberry and cherry are still on display, there is a depth and density to this wine that hints at its exceptional ageability, with mouthcoating layers of dark chocolate, smoke and cedar complemented by lovely elements of violet and lavender. Pinot Noir from limestone and decomposed granite soils of Enz Vineyard in Lime Kiln Valley (San Benito County). The Enz family has been farming this site since 1967 (the vineyard is also notable for Mourvedre, where the old vines date to 1895). The Pinot Noir vines were re-grafted onto much older roots in the 1980’s, and have been farmed organically without irrigation. The fruit was handpicked between August 24th and September 1st and fermented with 30% whole clusters. The wine was matured for 13-months in neutral barrels and puncheons, unfined/unfiltered.
