The Domaine Faiveley Ladoix "Les Marnes Blanches" 2022 is an elegant white Burgundy crafted with finesse. Highlighting the unique terroir of Ladoix, this wine offers vibrant citrus and floral aromas, balanced by a fresh, mineral-driven palate.

A great deal of volume and presence on the nose. In the mouth, it is perhaps the fleshiest of all, and the one already showing the greatest balance. This is a fine example of a great terroir that acts as a filter to receive and to master the force of the sun.

The 2021 Échézeaux Grand Cru has turned out beautifully in bottle, bursting with aromas of wild strawberries, spruce, baking spices and orange zest, followed by a full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping palate that's taken on appreciable mid-palate fat and dimension since I tasted it from barrel last year.

Smooth, with a floral perfume, red cherries and berries, and some toasty sweet spice. Pleasingly savoury too, with some dusty layers of wet leaves, meat, and mushroom.

Domaine Chevrot is located in Cheilly-les-Maranges, between the Maranges and Santenay appellations. Pablo and Vincent Chevrot, two brothers with degrees in oenology, have been managing the estate for over 10 years.

Medium ruby in colour, this has a spicy nose which bursts with fruits of the forest. It displays impressive concentration and a firm, but relatively elegant, layered structure that is well wrapped in juicy, succulent red and black berry fruit.

The 2022 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire is gourmand and enveloping, bursting with aromas of peach, white flowers, buttery pastry, toasted almonds and freshly baked bread.

The finest rendition of this cuvée to date, Santenay Les Vignes Denses derives from high-density plantings in lieu-dit Les Prarons. Unwinding in the glass with notions of crisp Anjou pear, lemon oil, vanilla pod and crushed chalk, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, with a deep core of fruit that's framed by chalky dry extract and racy acids. This is worth a special effort to seek out.

2022 is an outstanding Burgundy vintage: a warm and dry year that has produced wines with very high levels of ripeness and power, but which remain beautifully balanced and fresh-tasting too. The quality of the grapes was as good as many growers had ever seen.

The Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 2022 is a distinguished white Burgundy, hailing from the prestigious Morgeot vineyard in Chassagne-Montrachet.

Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru La Boudriotte from Bruno Colin has an intense nose of white fruit, honey and butter. On the palate, the wine is powerful, firm and full of flavour with a perfectly executed mineral finish.

Growing Chardonnay grapes on clay and chalk-rich soil and 10 months of élevage in oak delivers a very appealing freshness, minerality and roundness. Its expressive nose exudes aromas of white fruits, white flowers, and dried fruits.

Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Vieilles offers captivating aromas of ripe fruits, setting the stage for its rich and concentrated flavor profile. The wine features a chewy texture that adds depth and complexity, making each sip a memorable experience.

Bruno Colin Aligoté Bourgogne is a crisp and vibrant wine with a clean, direct nose featuring delicate floral notes and refreshing lemon undertones. The palate is fresh and lively, offering a bright and invigorating experience.

Ruby red. Bouquet with aromas of blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by notes of liquorice. On the palate, the wine is balanced, intense and fine.
