This wine displays a vibrant, ruby plum color. The aromas are deep with Bing and Rainer cherries while backed with vanilla and slight caramelized raw sugar notes. The palate is intense with wild raspberry, blackberry and bramble. These flavors are backed by intense earthy notes from black pepper to mushroom followed by toasted oak and clove. The finish overall expresses ripe berry and leather with a silky envelope of toasted vanilla.

Plum core, crimson rim with a glossy sheen. There is an otherworldly aromatic element that is hard to define, a natural result of two hemispheres united by one winemaking philosophy. The Arabian spice souk leads the charge: dark, savory spice blends – harissa, baharat, cloves, nutmeg, pimento, cinnamon, fennel, anise. Dark ruby color. Light to medium bodied with aromas and flavors of raspberry, tart cherry, spice with a touch of earth. Supple and balanced with a smooth finish.

From our estate located on Highway 246 in the north corridor of the Sta. Rita Hills and planted in 2016, the soils here consist of Elder series loams over marine sedimentary rock below. The pinot noir sits to the eastern side, and also the upper slope of the field, on the darkest, most clay rich soils on the property which are most conducive to producing exceptional pinot noir.

Our appealing Apothic Chardonnay opens with generous notes of crisp red and green apple, layered with hints of honey, caramel and vanilla. Viognier in the blend adds intriguing aromatic floral and tropical fruit characteristics. This luscious wine offers a silky-smooth texture and a bright, lively finish.
