Peña Aladas, or “winged stones” refers to a group of small, rocky vineyard plots well over 100 year old in age and surrounded by pine forests.

100% Tempranillo aged for three or four months in new barrels. Its short ageing adds complexity to the red fruits and liquorice aromas of this fresh Rioja. Valbuena 5º is the purest expression of red wine at Vega Sicilia. It is aged between barrel and bottle over five years, giving rise to the wine's name. The 2018 bottling is a vertical, zingy, crystalline expression, full of nuances, with a seductive and unctuous texture.
