Vaziani produces this 2018 Vaziani Makashvili Kisi Qvevri Géorgie Blanc, a white wine from Georgia harvested in 2018.
Makashvili Wine Cellar is one of the oldest and most well respected estates in Georgia. The 2018 Khikhvi is produced from estate grown hand harvested grapes from the village of Kardenakhit. It is aged in Qvevri for 6 months with skins and stems.
Color:Deep gold color, very thick tears.Aromas:Exposing layers of dry white and yellow fruit, sweet pie and coconut aromas.
Produced from Kisi grapes grown in our estate owned vineyards in village Tsinadali of Kakhet region. Fermentation is driven by natural yeast. Aged in oak barrels. This golden color wine with aromas of spices, quince and ripe fruits is full-body, with soft tannins and a long harmonious ending. Recommended serving temperature 52-54 degrees F.
This amber wine has been produced from the highest quality selected Khikhvi grapes harvested in Kakheti. Pleasant aromas of nutmeg and honey. Full body, supple and generous palate, with apple, orange, honey and cooked fruit in abundance. All these and more flavors blaze the mouth until you have swallowed it, when the aftertaste is a wondrously fresh.
Dry white wine, made from the Rkatsiteli grape variety, unique to the Kakheti region. Created using the Georgian traditional Qvevri method, the wine is amber in color, with enticing aromas of ripe fruits, dried fruits, and spices. The wine is full-bodied, characterized by strong tannins, acidity, and a graceful, long finish.
Produced from Rkatitseli grapes cultivated in Sagarejo district of Kakheti region. The wine is an amber color with aromas of dried fruits and jams. Delicate, refined taste with lively acidity and notes of apple and pear and a long persistent finish. Ideal pair to grilled meat, salads, and cheese. Best served at 54-56°F.
Light-bodied and well-balanced, with a cool minerality and refreshing acidity. The relatively high acidity of Assyrtiko gives this easy-drinking white a crisp freshness.

Dry orange wine Khikhvi Kvevri is made from grapes of the same name, grown in the Kistauri microzone (Kakheti). The wine is created according to the classical technology of making Georgian dry white wines, when fermentation and aging take place in kvevri - huge clay jugs, traditional in Kakhetian winemaking. The wine is aged in qvevri for at least 6 months.
The frozen Vidal grapes were harvested in late December 2017 when temperatures fell between -10ºC and -13ºC. After settling the juice in stainless steel tanks, cool fermentation was completed in late-February when the wine was placed outdoors to stop fermentation and to complete natural cold stabilization. The wine was stored in solely stainless steel for a period of 8 months before being filtered and then bottled.
More complex flavors including honey and ripe tropical fruits are present with a well balanced sweetness. Soft citrus notes are peeking through and complement the balanced acidity in the wine.
The frozen Gewurztraminer grapes were harvested in late December when temperatures fell between -10ºC and -13ºC. After setting the juice in stainless steel tanks, cool fermentation was completed. The wine was then placed outside to complete a natural cold stabilization.
