Vaziani produces this 2018 Vaziani Makashvili Kisi Qvevri Géorgie Blanc, a white wine from Georgia harvested in 2018.
Makashvili Wine Cellar is one of the oldest and most well respected estates in Georgia. The 2018 Khikhvi is produced from estate grown hand harvested grapes from the village of Kardenakhit. It is aged in Qvevri for 6 months with skins and stems.
Color:Deep gold color, very thick tears.Aromas:Exposing layers of dry white and yellow fruit, sweet pie and coconut aromas.
Appellation controlled white dry wine produced from specially selected Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes grown in Tsinandali appellation of Kakheti region. This wine perfecty preserves aroma typical to these varieties displayed with fresh grapes, quince and wild flowers flavor deliciously combined with oak and vanilla notes remaining with long finish. Recommended serving temperature 52-54°F.
Semi-sweet white wine made from grapes of the varieties of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane. It is produced in the traditional way: after harvesting, grapes undergo destemming and crushing process, and then undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine is served as an aperitif and is also combined with seafood, salads, poultry meat, vegetables, fruit and ice cream.
Grapey perfume on the nose, with citrus, blossom, orange jelly and apricot. Ripe and textured on the palate, with more quince jam, mango, apricot juice and a pinch of white spices, balanced by polished acidity and a touch of tannin. The finish is beautifully long with dried yellow fruits. Aged on skins for 6 months, this is a complex yet refined qvevri wine that's instantly enjoyable.
