Dry red wine. 13% Alc./Vol.
Intense ruby color. Complex notes of red fruits followed by a balanced bouquet of black tea. In the mouth the wine is fresh, complex, persistent and balanced with velvety tannins that blend well with the body.
Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo is a bright ruby red color. Complex with a prevalence of small red fruits and floral notes. The body is beautifully balanced with a long finish.
A level of aromatic intensity and integrity that is impossible to exaggerate. Deep layers of Morello cherry, cassis, dried blackberry and spice. The oak component is beautifully integrated, imparting notes of chocolate and tobacco.
Aromas of underbrush, ripe berry, leather and tobacco take shape on this full-bodied red. Ripe and savory, the smooth, chewy palate doles out raspberry compote, black cherry and licorice before a balsamic-herb close.
Dark bright red. Meaty, floral and saline nuances to the brooding aromas and flavors of ripe red fruit. Big and tactile, with youthfully chewy aromas that will require patience.
Piandorino is Pian dell'Orino's entry-level Sangiovese. It is sourced from the estate's younger vineyards and cooler sites and it displays a freshness and immediate drinkability.
CastelGiocondo 2017 has an intense, bright ruby-red color. Like every vintage, 2017 brought with it a wonderfully elegant quality. The bouquet features fruity aromas, particularly at the beginning, with notes of raspberry, blackcurrant and even pomegranate.
Deep ruby red colored wine. The bouquet features dark fruits such as plums and blackberries, hints of freshly- ground roast coffee, notes of cloves and brushwood. Delicious on the palate, with a balance of thick and elegant tannins and a long finish.
The Altero was made from a selection of the best wine in the cellar. Aged for 30 months in French oak tonneaux (500 l), followed by 18 months of bottle refinement, the vintage is definitely cellar worthy. Juicy red currants, cherries, and sprigs of fresh rosemary are robed in vanilla and baking spice with just a wisp of smoke. Best with BBQ or lightly smoked meats and cheeses.
A wine that has acquired an increasingly well-defined identity over the years and that in 2019, also on the strength of a spectacular harvest and the confirmation of the addition of Cabernet Franc in the blend, undoubtedly marks its territorial connotation. It is the purest expression of the Val di Cornia terroir and its specific agronomic identity, which brings two different micro-terroirs into the glass: calcareous soils, rich in iron, sodium and magnesium on the one hand, and micro-elements, combined with the deep clay layer, on the other.
