Located on the first hillsides bordering the Gironde, facing the Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc, the vineyards of Château Lacaussade Saint Martin extend their roots on sixty hectares. To awaken this terroir of Blayais (wine-growing area located 40 kilometers north of Bordeaux) was the dream of oenologist and owner Jacques Chardat. Learn More

Intensely perfumed with violets, roses, plums, and exotic spices, la Genelotte has the grace, finesse, and precision of a dancer—a famous ballerina in the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite comes to mind. There is a dreamy, ethereal side to this beauty. Learn More

One of the region's most charming yet least understood villages, Chénas in the hands of Dutraive comes off as a Morgon-Fleurie hybrid, with ample structure and gravitas supporting its inherently elegant fruit and tannin profile. In the glass, it offers up notes of ripe red cranberry, fresh mint, and anise. The most utterly drinkable of the bunch, 'Papolet' is a pure delight to drink alongside just about anything, preferably with a light chill.

    Bottle(x1)
    750ML
    SKU: 41000000724

    $419.89
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru matures in around 50% new oak has a well-defined bouquet with scents of Earl Grey infusing the dark berry fruit (darker than Rossignol-Trapet’s Premier Crus for example.) The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip on the entry slightly tertiary in style with subtle torrefaction notes but well balanced with impressive substance on the finish a tingle of white pepper on the aftertaste. Like many of the domaine’s 2017s this just feels very natural and refined. Excellent. Learn More

    Bottle(x1)
    750ML
    SKU: 41000000723
    $729.99
    $639.89

The lieux-dit, Chambertin is charged with prestige. Perhaps one of Burgundy's most aristocratic appellations and greatest terroir. The domaine purchased its parcel in 1919 and the goal has been always to show off the underlying terroir, creating soil-driven and absolutely pure wines harkening to an earlier era. There is an emphasis on pure red plum and black cherry fruit, notes of grilled meat, cocoa powder, lovely soil tones surrounded by a judicious framing of oak tannins.
