Sweet wine from late harvested Roussanne and Clairette, The grapes are only destemmed if the stalks are not quite mature. Normally 50-80% are destemmed.
In 1967 Isabelle and Christophe Sabons' parents Hèléne and Aimé Sabon took over vineyards from their two families. In 1973 they built cellars and created Domaine de la Janasse - named after lieu-dit La Janasse. Over the years they expanded their holdings from 15 ha. to 55 ha. divided in 15 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape, 6 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village, 17 ha of Cotes du Rhone 12 ha of IGP Orange and 5 ha.
