Walt Wines La Brisa Chardonnay 2011
Walt celebrates Kathryn Hall's parents, Bob and Dolores Walt, whose family dedication to viticulture remains the inspiration for Walt Wines' winegrowing efforts. In 2010, they partnered with artisan vintner Roger Roessler, whose winemaking reflects a distinct sense of place. Walt Wines celebrates the most prestigious Pinot Noir and Chardonnay terroir of California and Oregon.
La Brisa, Spanish for "The Breeze," pays homage to the brisk coastal breezes that cools Walt Wines' prized Sonoma County vineyards. A bright golden color with tints of green, the wine has a nose that delivers stone fruits, toast, honeysuckle, and notes of lush tropical fruit and vanilla. It leads to a generous, broad, and full palate of stone fruit, pear, lemon curd, melon, and citrus, bolstered by lively acidity and underscored by toasty oak.
