Vins Bel Chateau Cap de Merle 2012
Blend | France
The wine is a harmonious St-Emilion blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon. Cap de Merle is aged entirely in tanks to highlight its generous and delicious fruit, which pairs with a wide range of vegetable and meat dishes.
65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The name of Chateau Cap de Merle, a family estate owned by brothers Alain and Jean-Marie Bel, comes from its vineyard. The predominant merlot grape ripens early and is often pecked at by blackbirds, called "merle" in French.
