Vina Zaco 2010
A wine with just one guideline: to be Rioja. Its character: the fruit and the expression of tempranillo. Intense, authentic, fresh, and delicious.
100% Tempranillo. Estate bottled by Bodegas Bilbainas. One of the first wineries in Rioja, Bilbainas is the largest vineyard owner in Haro with over 600 acres of quality vineyards. The winery is wholly-owned by Bodegas y Vinyedos Codorniu Raventos, the oldest winemaking family in Spain. Zaco takes its name from one of the oldest vineyards at Bodegas Bilbainas. The wines made from this estate vineyard have always formed part of their Reserva and Gran Reserva wines and exhibit exceptional intensity and concentration. Vina Zaco is the rebellious Rioja from Bodegas Bilbainas that was launched in 2005. It is a groundbreaking, modern, and distinctive wine that tramples convention, arouses the senses, and bewitches the palate—a new step forward in redefining the profile of what has traditionally represented a classic Rioja winery like Bodegas Bilbainas. With Vina Zaco, Bodegas Bilbainas has created a wine that seeks out the maximum fruit expression of tempranillo grapes. Its fresh and fruity aromas make Vina Zaco a groundbreaking modern Rioja wine that shakes up the traditional aging.
