Wild cherries, ripe tomatoes, blackberries, and nougat, present berry fruit, fleshy red wine character, sweet-earthy piquancy, good acidity bite, and appropriate tannin grip.
"Schilfwein" is the common term in Austria for straw wine. Before pressing, the grapes are dried for at least three months on straw or reed mats. During this process, liquid evaporates, consequently increasing the sugar content (minimum must weight).
