Blue Spot 7 Year Old Cask Strength Irish Whiskey embodies the unmistakable qualities of Pot Still Irish Whiskey, Blue Spot is matured for at least seven years in Bourbon barrels, sherry butts and Portuguese Madeira casks.

This Single Pot Still Irish whiskey was matured initially in American Oak Bourbon barrels and finished in virgin native Irish Oak Hogshead casks grown on the Knockrath Estate.

The third of seven expressions in this limited series from the venerable Midleton distillery. Kylebeg Wood – or An Coill Beag, as it is in Irish – refers to ‘the little wood,’ a carefully managed forest that has stood on the Ballykilcavan Estate since the 17th century.
Number six in the seven-strong Kylebeg Wood series was aged in fresh hogsheads coopered from a single Irish oak tree. The pot still whiskey filled into those casks is packed with Midleton’s characteristic orchard fruit and spice, enhanced by a set of secondary flavours unique to one tree, from one forest, on a single estate in Ireland.
Red Spot is one of the flagship expressions from the Spot Whiskey label, which dates its history back to 1805. Historically, spots were painted on the barrels that matured their whiskey below the streets of Dublin to indicate age.
The Redbreast Kentucky Oak Edition is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in American Bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts. Then it’s finished for a minimum of 4 months in hand selected, air-dried American Oak from the Taylor family farm in Kentucky.

This rich and subtly chocolatey pot still whiskey was finished in casks cut from a single native Irish oak – sourced from a managed forest in Country Laois. After felling, this venerable tree was shipped to Spain where it was cut and left to dry in the warm climate of Jerez. After fifteen months, the staves were coopered into hogsheads and sent back to Ireland to be filled with this unique spirit.
“Dair Ghaelach” means quite simply, Irish Oak.While the name may be simple, the story of this whiskey is unique. This whiskey has been finished in casks made from virgin Irish oak grown in Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate, near Stradbally in Co. Laois.
