Six Hats Pinotage 2012

Deep red hues. This medium-bodied wine shows flavors of ripe, black plum fruit with violets and black pepper. Pairs well with roast poultry or barbequed meats.

Produced by Citrusdal Wines, formed in 2007 when Charles Back entered into a collaborative partnership with several local Fairtrade and non-Fairtrade farmers and located in the town of Citrusdal. Their Six Hats brand, launched in 2009, is built around a concept that seeks to highlight the various roles and responsibilities assumed by all parties involved in progressive and equitable wine farming. These "Six Hats" (or 6 principles) are worn by both the farmer and the community (Partnership, Change, Potential, Equity, Dignity, and Sustainability) represented on their label by six elegantly, illustrated hats.
