Savory & James Deluxe Amontillado
Amontillado is pronounced "Ah-mohn-tee-yah-dough." This extra-fine sherry comes exclusively from select vineyards in the "Zona de Jerez Superior," the world's finest area for the production of sherry. It is medium dry with a delicate color and aroma reminiscent of hazel nuts. It has an especially pleasing taste that pairs beautifully with hors d'oeuvres, soups, salads, or cheese.
Palomino Fino and Pedro Ximenez. Produced by Bodegas Valderrama, which was originally owned by Rumasa and has been assimilated into Grupo Garvey. Rumasa is derived from the name of Ruiz-Mateos. Its history can be traced back to 1857 when Zoilo Ruiz-Mateos Rodicio established a smalled business in Rota, Spain. In 1930 his son, Zoilo Ruiz-Mateos Camacho, set up business in Jerez. Later Don Camacho's youngest son, Jose-Maria, formed a group of companies that became the Rumasa empire—becoming an enormous, powerful force in the sherry world.
