Raventos i Blanc Extrem 2014
Extrem is a 100% radically authentic xarel-lo. A viticulture wine from the biosynergy between man, animal, and plant. The use of sulphur dioxide is reduced, enabling Raventos to obtain the maximum expression from the soil, a longer life, and maximum purity. A xarel-lo which expresses the extremes of the nature of their vineyard.
100% Xarel-lo. The Raventos i Blanc estate, 222 acres of woodland and vineyards in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, has belonged to the Raventos family since 1497, and passed on intact from generation to generation up to the present day. In 1872 Josep Raventos Fatjo made the first sparkling wine, second fermentation, in the bottle with grapes from their estate. Since then, every generation has dedicated itself to vine growing and to making fine sparkling wines. A project was conceived to give meaning to this estate with its unique terroir: Raventos i Blanc. When Josep Maria Raventos i Blanc and his son Manuel Raventos decided to open this winery at the center of their historic estate in 1984, their dream of creating a premier, global brand became an obsession.
