"Light, bright gold. Displays aromas and flavors of orange, pear skin. honey and brioche, with a spicy overtone. Sappy and expansive, with excellent finishing power and lingering floral and smoke note" (Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, Dec. 2012).
Pol Roger founded his renowned Champagne house in Epernay in 1849. Through five generations, his direct descendants have run this proudly independent family house, producing champagnes of worldwide acclaim. Pol Roger Reserve is the house's signature cuvee, composed of more than 30 base wines drawn from at least two vintages and the three classic cepages, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. Paul Roger Reserve is never released until at least three years old.
