Some time ago, cognac producers used different casks to create a fascinating array of flavors and complexity.
To revive this earlier tradition, the Pierre Ferrand RENEGADE BARREL N°2 matures in 350-litre cognac barrels, before getting a fnish in 225-litre chestnut wood barrels.
Limited to 7,000 bottles worldwide!
Tasting notes:
Colour: mahogany.
Nose: floral, fruity, notes of honeydew melon, candied fruit, hints of plums, figs, apricots.
Taste: Mild, full-bodied, complex notes of liquorice, coconuts, baked apples, pears, nutmeg, spices.
Finish: Long lasting, dried fruit, vanilla.
