Pascal Jolivet Pouilly-Fume Les Terres Blanches 2011

Les Terres Blanches is named for the site's exceptional limestone- and clay-white soil, from Jolivet's single Le Bouchat vineyard. Located just northeast of the village of Pouilly-sur-Loire, Les Terres Blanches is a 16-acre parcel exclusively hand harvested. The juice is fermented with ambient yeasts to allow the full expression of this unique terroir. Les Terres Blanches 2011 is marked by a lovely minerality, great concentration, and purity.

100% Sauvignon Blanc. Domaine Pascal Jolivet was founded in 1987 and is one of the most dynamic domains in the Loire Valley. Based in Sancerre, it has over 70 acres of prime vineyards spread across the appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume. The estate holdings is supplemented with additional fruit sourced from some of the prime terroirs of the region, including Chateau de Nozay, Les Caillotes, Le Chene Marchand, and Le Clos du Roy. Pascal Jolivet is a firm believer in natural winemaking and practices environmentally friendly techniques in both the vineyard and the cellar. He produces classically styled Loire whites, emphasizing elegance, finesse, and balance in all the wines.
