Paolo Scavino Barolo 2013
This classic Barolo is decadent and exotic with wild aromas of ripe berries and black truffles. Full bodied with ultra-fine tannins and an incredible finish.
100% Nebbiolo. The Paolo Scavino winery was founded in 1921 by Enrico Scavino's grandfather, Lorenzo, and his father, Paolo. It is located in Castiglione Falletto, one of the eleven communes of the Barolo appellation, in the historical Langhe hills. The Scavino family owns 57 acres entirely in the Barolo area and works on 19 Barolo historical crus located in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Verduno, and Roddi. Enrico has created unique concepts in the vineyards and cellar that trademark the purism, elegance, and freshness of Scavino wines—an end product that arrives from a never-ending search to increase quality in their wines.
