Mount Hevron Syrah Reserve 2009
Mount Hevron Reserve Syrah Mount Hevron Syrah is grown at high elevation (950 meters) in the mountains surrounding Jerusalem. Aged for 18 months in new French and American oak barrels and then carefully brought together to produce of Israel’s most outstanding Syrah.
Full bodied on the palate, the core of ripe fruity flavor is enveloped by smooth tannins. There is a beautifully integrated note of oak as well, together with hints of oriental spices, vanilla and toasted nuts that linger on the long, rich finish. There is a robust, untamed quality to this wine that expresses itself in extremely complex, dark-fruit flavors of blackberry, black cherry and blueberry. Serve with Balsamic Pepper Brochettes, grilled roasted kobe beef or steak medallion.
