Montesecondo Sangiovese 2015

Montesecondo represents the purest expression of the Sangiovese grape that this earth produces. The aging process occurs in cement tanks, allowing the grapes tannin to soften, leaving space for the fruit to express itself and giving light to the wine. The grapes, 100% Sangiovese, come from our younger vines with a planting density of 6250 plants per hectare.

Striving for the balance of the plants and the earth, they think of the winery as a living organism that encloses vital strengths that are not limited to a system of production. This is an approach that changes a person. By working in harmony with the earth they are able to allow the wines to fully express their territory. Even though the work of wine making requires human intervention, they can speak of a “natural” transformation, during which nothing is removed and nothing is added.
