Mas Elena 2007
Intensive red color with blue hints. On the nose, there is an aroma of red fruit with liquorice and spices. Elegant and fresh in the mouth. Good structure. Well integrated with the toast of the barrel. Long and pleasant finish. Serve at 61–64 F.
47% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc. Produced and bottled by Cavas Pares Balta. The roots of Pares Balta go back to the 18th century. In 1790 the first vines were planted on the estate that now surrounds the winery. In 1978, Mr Joan Cusine Hill took over the winery. His son Joan Cusine Cusine started to manage Pares Balta in the eighties and released its first still, white wine, "Blanc de Pacs" which is still produced today. At the end of the eighties, the first red wine from the company was produced and since then they have enthusiastically been attempting everything to raise the quality of their wines.
