Les Charmes de Magnol Medoc 2014
Barton & Guestier's winemakers have selected their best qualities in the prestigious Medoc appellation and blended the two famous Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Deep purple-red color. Slightly oaked, this intense wine offers ripe red-fruit aromas, spices, and coffee notes. Round on the palate, the finish is long and elegant. It will perfectly match your risottos, red grilled meats and poultries, pasta dishes, cheeses, or black chocolate desserts.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. Estate bottled by UDP Grangeneuve Rauzan for Barton & Guestier, owner in Bordeaux for three centuries who vinifies all the best French appellations. The company's founder, Thomas Barton left his native Ireland and as a true adventurer, he founded his wine-shipping company in Bordeaux in 1725. By 1747, Thomas Barton was considered Bordeaux's number-one shipper and his loyal clients nicknamed him "French Tom." He was also the first shipper to have his own wine estates. In 1802 Hugh Barton, his grandson and successor, teamed up with Daniel Guestier, a French trader, to create Barton & Guestier.
