Barton & Guestier's winemakers have selected in the prestigious Bordeaux appellation, the two famous varietals: Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Bright pale-yellow color. On the nose, this wine offers intense aromas of tropical fruit and citrus notes. After stirring, it reveals both floral and vanilla notes. Lively flavors of grapefruit with a hint of apricot and a refreshing, crisp finish.
80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon. Estate bottled by UDP Grangeneuve Rauzan for Barton & Guestier, owner in Bordeaux for three centuries who vinifies all the best French appellations. The company's founder, Thomas Barton left his native Ireland and as a true adventurer, he founded his wine-shipping company in Bordeaux in 1725. By 1747, Thomas Barton was considered Bordeaux's number-one shipper and his loyal clients nicknamed him "French Tom." He was also the first shipper to have his own wine estates.
