Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz 2013
Deep crimson color with purple hues. A rich and intense aroma of ripe Satsuma plum, blueberries, and hints of cola mingling with fine milk chocolate, cedar, and sweet spice. Quite a mouthful of sweet, juicy fruit but balanced wonderfully with briary and sweet spice. A full-bodied wine showing great complexity with hints of cedar and smokey notes which, in combination, flows through to the lengthy and youthfully austere finish.
100% Shiraz. Langmeil Winery embodies ideals inspired by the refinement of knowledge shared from generations of Barossans, real people making real wine. Having restored its historic buildings and vineyard from humble beginnings in 1996, Langmeil Winery has evolved to become highly regarded for producing wines of distinction, as it stands guard over one of the world's-oldest surviving Shiraz vineyards. The Lindner family's dedication to the region and to producing premium Barossa wines continues to be unwavering. Local knowledge of the Valley Floor has helped them to secure prized Shiraz vineyard-sites from 19 of the 28 original villages, with some vines more than 100 years old.
