Jerusalem Winery Special Edition Gewurztraminer 2016
Gewürztraminer | Israel
The wine is characterized by scents of kumquat jam, yellow peach and rose water, and possesses a tart and pleasing freshness. It is recommended to serve it with light appetizers as well as dishes from the Asian kitchen.
The winery in its present form was established in 2006, although its roots and wine making tradition are planted in pre-State of Israel Jerusalem (the Shimshon Winery). The winery produces around 2 million bottles annually and the grapes are from various regions, including Shilo, Har Bracha, Givat Nili, the Judean Lowlands etc. The wines are produced from Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz and other varieties. The winery is kosher lemehadrin, under the supervision of Bedatz Beit Yosef and the Chabad Rabbinical Court.
